I friggin’ hate this city!

What if I hate the one I live in?

Sometimes people designing things seem to make very general assumptions that may be generally true. I personally like where I live, but many people apparently don’t.

  1. I don’t think that whoever wrote this assumed that a person’s favourite city _will necessarily_ be the one they live in, only that it’s likely to be for enough people that it’s worthwhile to rule that answer out. Presumably earlier in this registration process they asked users what city they live in, and it would defeat the purpose of the security question if its answer were to coincide with identificatory information.

  2. I think only retired millionaires live where they love to live. As for the rest of us, we usually live where we could find a job.
